| Britflight Hustle Well what with the sunshine and it being springtime I figured it was time for a new plane. I've gone for this: >>>BritFlight Hustle webpage<<< Looks lovely doesn't it? Seen some good reports about it and looks perfect to chunk in the car for an impromptu flying session. | |||

| RE: Britflight Hustle Neat little model - probably worth upgrading the motor, etc, I would think. | |||

| RE: Britflight Hustle I didn't go for the upgraded (175w) electrics setup because I'm hoping to use some 1300 packs that I already have handy. I'm going to follow the suggestion on the page above to change to the bigger prop from the start. I think I might leave the undercariage off too to save a little weight as I'm always flying off grass and I'd like to parkfly this too. Upping the prop brings it to around 150w apparently which seems about ok for a model that size and weight to me? Reminds me a bit of the little balsa model you used to fly Brian. | |||

| RE: Britflight Hustle Yes, it's similar to the Accord, which I still have. What's the span and weight of the Hustle? Oddly, they don't seem to quote it on the website! My Accord has a Hacker A20-20L, with a 10x5 prop, so it probably packs a bigger punch, about 200w. But this model might be slightly bigger than the Hustle. | |||

| RE: Britflight Hustle Well it's here! nicely packed with plenty of bubble wrap All the bits The standard electronics pack. Pleased to see tipple packs which I already use, eMax servos which I've had good experiences with and an RB speed controller which are usually great | |||

| RE: Britflight Hustle Well I've started the build. The instructions are most pretty good but there are a few vague bits where some more info and pictures would help. I imagine if you've built a few similar models you'd not notice, just glance through the file and get on building. First up was mounting the motor. X-Plate (and prop adapter) included but no screws to mount the motor to the bulkhead. I've used some servo screws someone gave me. I also cut just a little foam to give the supplied motor some clearance as I think it's a bigger unit that the one shown on the website. I also followed one of the options in the instructions to make a new hatch to install the rudder and elevator servo. If you use the balsa bracket you can see in the pic then these servos can interfere with the aileron servo. Moving them back gives a shorter snake run and apparently improves the CoG. The hatch can be stuck back afterwards with a little UHU POR. I think this chap is my first model pilot, can't remember having one in any of my other models! At least he's got lots of knobs and dials to look at | |||
