I guess when the technical whiz-kids get their hands on it, it could finish up of a size that can be carried by 'normal' size models. It's probably only the speaker and battery that makes up the bulk of the kit, I should think.
It could catch on big-time then, even for i/c, as nobody can claim that a buzzy .46 or even some of the best petrol engines really sound anything like the full-size thing, except perhaps when they are running slowly.

The flight video was fantastic - very realistic i thought!!

With a large model at a distance i think it would trick people into thinking its a real spitfire, really spot on that is.

To repeat what others have said, requires education; to challenge it, requires brains.

Brian there was a 4 stroke on there somewhere with sound box and have to agree whilst the 40-50 size IC's doooo make a lot of noise it is hardly the right noise Wink.

What impressed me the most was the throttle sync ie startup, tickover etc. I am sure they couldnt do that last time I looked.
If they could reduce the size it would be awsome, perhaps a Bose system would help Big Grin

Wait till the boy racers in their (huge body kit 900cc) cars that rattle my teeth when they drive by hear about this, there will be all sorts or crap coming out their speakers.. deep joy Angry

I may have been hallucinating, but do seem to remember a Lancaster at the Nats that had the full sound kit added. Any videos of that one?

The Lancaster you saw/heard was probably by Tony Nijuis. Tony has been using these "scale" sound systems for a number of years now and I witnessed a demo of the system installed in his large electric Lanc at a talk he gave at my club a couple of years ago.

The Lanc, I guess, I have enough trouble with my own hallucinations.
