| Favourite and most flown model you had/have ? Now we all have favourite full size and model aircraft ... heli or fixed wing .... So instead of what is your fav ... what about ..... a) What is your favourite model you had or have ? b) Second what is the model you fly/flew most of yours ? My answers ? a) WOT4 Mk1 glow powered with ST61 + Tuned pipe .......... amazing stunts and capability. Followed closely by the Skyleader Skymaster Biplane with same power plant set-up. b) Has to be the WOT4 in a) ... it was so sure in the air even in high winds, you flew with a smile on your face !! It made even bad ol'me look good ! Sadly when I divorced in UK - I gave away so much of RC gear and models - at that time couldn't see way to get all back to Latvia ... wish I had kept most of it !! Most of the crash is fine - it's the last mm and second that's not !.... Ex Model Display flyer returning to hobby after 25yrs in the wilderness !.....http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Flysky_RC_radio/ if user of FlySky Radio where I hope to collect together helpful data | |||

| RE: Favourite and most flown model you had/have ? My selection:- A:- My little el cheapo chinese Ebay special A-10 warthog. Such a solid flyer yet also fun. Currently still flying although starting to werar. B:- Mini Cheveron. Cant remember the manufacturer. Flown over a period of 15 years as my primary aircraft. Retired this year virually falling to bits. Liked it because it vaguely looked like a Hawker hunter, solid flyer, fairly nippy in the sky and had a huge fuel tank and it was the first ever aircraft I built on my own. | |||

| RE: Favourite and most flown model you had/have ? Soar Ahead Sailplanes Apache Slope Soarer. Never have I felt so 'in tune and as one' with a model, could fly it in the merest to 60mph winds, and fly it so outrageously, like skimming along the path around a foot straight towards you then jumping up as the model passes under you feet......vertical diving and pulling out down wind straight past you, execute an extremely tight turn, all speed bled off, into the hover, roll it inverted and nudge it into you waiting hand...oh happy days.... I don't have crashes, just mid-airs with the planet............. | |||

| RE: Favourite and most flown model you had/have ? Your mentioning slope soaring .... must say the Centi-Phase I had of Chris Foss design was like that ... I chose the semi-symet wing as against the full symet ... Chris came to a "Cross Country" slope comp at Butser one time ... he showed what the Phase could really do !! Most of the crash is fine - it's the last mm and second that's not !.... | RE: Favourite and most flown model you had/have ? a) What is your favourite model you had or have ? My wing, the Windrider Ele-Bee. I've had for years, its died a few times but always comes back It was first fitted with a Speed 400 motor with 7 cells of AR500's. Now its got a Mega 16/15/4 with 3 cell 2500s. Chalk and Cheese in comparison... it always brings on a smile.b) Second what is the model you fly/flew most of yours ? When I had it, it must have been the original Revolution 3D. It was one of the first EPP planes at the club, it got some strange looks and comments. Its survivability in a crash was unheard off at the time, I flew it for years till the EPP dried out and became brittle but I build another one after that Too bad stupid isn't painful. Your contribution helps | |||

| RE: Favourite and most flown model you had/have ? No with my return to RC flying ...... It is the Cessna 182 from Hobby King (Skyartec) that is most flown. It really is a joy to fly now that I have sorted out the l;ittle niggles etc. - got it the way I want. But the T-45 mini EDF I have a feeling is going to tip the scales soon ... it's on 'rails' ..... and with wheels fitted now - will be even more useable. I cannot help but look at models today and feel the world has changed so much. Back in 70, 80 and early 90's ... no-one literally had RTF's unless you bought second-hand of another modeller. Literally all were built - even the ARTF ... Most of the crash is fine - it's the last mm and second that's not !....
