Gliding with a difference
I went to the Wings and Wheels show at North Weald yesterday and got some video of Ali Machinchy's super display with his large jet powered glider.

Superb that, alway's a pleasure to watch Mr Machinchy's flying.

Thanks for posting Alan.

I don't have crashes, just mid-airs with the planet.............

No I was too far away when that was flying. I'm not sure I could have kept it in the viewfinder anyway the speed it was doing!

I want one Big Grin

I saw Ali fly it on Saturday, looks like he was more daring on Sunday.

I think the little hot liner was flown by some-one elce.

But as it happens here is a link to the video I took at the Thames Valley show this year.

Sorry it's a little bit more than a dot, but you'll understand when you watch.

Also check out my keyfob cam on my glider up at Ivinghoe. Not bad for a tenner.

Yeah, I saw him and those two at Weston Park.. The big one is amazing, the small one BALLISTIC..
I couldn't even see a turbine on the small one, and it was only a stick type affair.. !?!?!

Dont suppose anyone saw the real glider doing stunts behind the tow plane at Weston..?? Rolling down the flight line at 100ft, attached by wire to the plane infront.. Bonkers..

Luv
Chrisie.. xx

There was 2 of those large gliders flying at one point but I took the mini cam with only an lcd screen which got wiped out by the sun... so I decded just to aim the camera and got 5 mins of lovely blue sky Big Grin

Ill aim higher next time lol

Planes are meant to crash, otherwise they'd have feathers
