08 Brick Help with Mig build project
Hi, your help would be appreciated with a build project that i am working on at the moment which is a 6mm ply Mig which is also sculpted with kingspan insulation. Could anyone tell me if a 35amp speed controller would run twin 63mm kv4000 electric ducted brushless fan motors? and also what mah lipos would be suited for this, i know i need a seperate power supply for servos and any add-ons but the above question is causing me a bit of a problem to solve.Huh

RE: Help with Mig build project
Can you post some photos, this sounds real interesting.

My gut feeling tells me 35A is too low even to drive one fan! But I've no idea really...

Why use one ESC, you can get motor starting problems when using two brushless motors with one ESC. The only way for sure would be to measure the current but then you need an ESC that handles more than what is needed! A bit of a catch 22 there...

Can you tell us make/model of the fan and motor, that would help in case others have used one.

Too bad stupid isn't painful.

Im lost "6mm ply" ! thats like the stuff they build sheds out of isnt it?

Planes are meant to crash, otherwise they'd have feathers

Forgive my ignorance David but weren't all planes made of either bolsa or ply once upon a time?
Sheds are made of pine tongue & groove, i dont think i'll be asking you to build me a shed any time soon!
Here's a pic wait till you see the pedals on it! Constructive critisisum wasn't what i was looking for just a bit of advise.
Watch out for a rapid shed in your area soon!!
