| HobbyKing 1st Purchase Hello all, Just a quick mention about hobbyking - it was mentioned a while ago when asing about the lipo batteries they do. Well i decided to test them out with buying a Turnigy Typhoon 600 heli motor... Overall i'm pleased. In the UK, it would cost £40 + postage for the motor. It would take about 3 days to arrive in most cases...2 days if your lucky. I bought the motor for $42 micky mouse dollars including delivery - It arrived after 7 working days. $42 USD is £27 at todays rates. A nice saving that if you have the time is worth waiting for. Item arrived boxed & well packaged - and with a free set of decals. My only gripe is it came from China - Not the german warehouse which is where i thought i was buying. But other than that - pretty happy with it.... Until it goes wrong ![]() Will put orders in for lipos once the money has been scrapped together! | HobbyKing 1st Purchase I never had any probs with them, make sure when you order it had German Warehouse in red next to the item as I sure you did. With the tax going up next year I should think they will be even more popular! "Whilst entering a Loop way to fast I ran out of talent" | |||

| HobbyKing 1st Purchase I'm pretty certain it said German Warehouse but the item came from hong kong... Either way i'm not too bothered because I still got the motor - and a fair bit cheaper than buying it here. I placed an order with a UK shop (no names) on the 25th November (a monday) - and still have not recieved the item. The problem is a lot of these model shops are started by people who make models - not business minded people who know how important customer service is. Its coming to something when ordering from china is not only cheaper - but faster delivery too. | HobbyKing 1st Purchase Matt You must have picked the 1 company out of hundreds in the UK with a problem, I rekon you looked them up to see how bad their delivery was ![]() Most will send by next woking day and overall there is no comparison at all not even close, and what are you doing waiting that long for a motor, why havent you given them a ear bashing or had an explanation yet? Huh Planes are meant to crash, otherwise they'd have feathers | |||

I would say most (even this shop i'm having a problem with) 99% of the time get it right. 99% of the time, they're good on advice and speed of service. Just that occasional 1% which always seems to be me ![]() Ah well, I will be doing my fair share of tinkering and drinking over the festive period... can't wait ;P Matt To repeat what others have said, requires education; to challenge it, requires brains. | |||
