On/Off switch for module to Rx
can anyone point me to a miniature lightweight electronic switch that can plug into a servo channel ... then have an Eagle Tree speed module plugged in to it ?

I want to install a speed logger to my EDF for speed runs. But the logger records fastest speed during time it's on. That means I cannot be sure at which point the logger speed is - most likely at bottom of a dive etc. I need to be able to switch it on as I start the level run and switch off at end of the level pass.

I know I can solve this with a GPS based unit - but then I need data loggers and PC at field to use it and of course it's heavier. The speed module is tiny, needs no data logger or pc to be read.

Help please !!

I'm pretty sure HK or similar does something for switching lights etc. on or off - it's basically a relay that works off a spare radio channel, right? I'll see if I can find and post a link later...

EDIT: Oops, missed that post above. That Turnigy switch is exactly what I meant!

Safety first! Never fly near airfields, populated areas, children or cats. (Dogs are ok)

Briliant .....

I think you guys can see what I mean ? I've just doppler'd a Youtube video where a guy claims 214kph on T45 .... turns out straight level was actually 183kph - the Datalogger remembers highest speed and that was during a dive but too short for doppler ... so not valid claim.

I am in discussion to start speed trials in latvia to determine records ... so setting start and stop points are important. The valid run is only straight and level.

Adrenaline !!
