Piper Cub 1/5 scale model engine?
I have just joined the site to help a neighbour of mine who is building the Piper Cub 1/5 scale model.

He is wondering what kind of electric motor to put into the sig. If any one can give me any links or assistance it would be very much appreciated. Has never used electric motors before.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Linda

Oh that will need a big motor. I would want a motor that can output 500-600 watts.

The Hacker A30-12XL using a 14x7 prop with a 4 cell lipo battery pack should do it: http://www.aeroshack.co.uk/shop/gbu0-pro...012XL.html

You maybe able to find a cheaper equivalent motor but he will appreciate the Hacker, its a top brand Wink
