please help before i throw the in towel,my shuttle servos start behaving crazy when i put the revs up making it impossible to fly ive removed the reciever box from the helicopter and it stops its as if the vibations are interfering with the servos could this be the cristals? im using jr radio gear so quality is not the problem

Sounds like some electrical connection has worked its way loose. The receiver should be mounted in some foam padding to stop the engine vibrations destroying it.

Yes, it could be the receiver crystal a quick swap would confirm.

You could have a loose metal joint, when you rev up the engine a loose metal to metal joint will cause havoc on the receiver.

Too bad stupid isn't painful.

thanks and yes its all padded on the inside and some on the outside and ive tried all the connections .when you say a metal joint you mean around the engine ? my money is on the cristal

Yeah, I mean you may have some metal to metal joint that is vibrating when you rev the engine up. It could be a loose nut and bolt but it may not be near the engine. I've heard that dry bearings can also cause interference.

Too bad stupid isn't painful.

Hi. Welcome to RTC.

Yeah metal-to-metal.

I had this problem once when starting a raptor- the metal starter wand was rubbing a metal part and all the servos would go nuts!

Another common one is when the clutch lining fails, gets eaten, whatever, the clutch is scraping the inside of the bell - that will drive any radio bonkers.

Other than that. get new xtals and tape them in!
