Probably very few ARTF's for a small(ish) engine like the OS LA 0.1cu in. Plenty of plans around for a traditional build, however.

Is that a Mills 0.5, Richard? In answer to the first question, I always find it odd that Suppliers don't seem to cater for the 10s and 15s, everything starts at the 40. There are probably a few kits out there that would suit, but I don't think there are many ARTF models. There are, of course, many plans available if you want to build your own, or you could convert a rubber-powered model.(you still have to make it!)
As far as smallest goes, a few years ago I built an 8" span C/L aerobatic model, powered by a Cox 0.010 glow motor. That was pretty small!

In another place:-

They claim that it will fly with a 01, although a 15 would be better. I have one of these kits in my building queue.

Also, I have just built a model from a plan, the Piwakawaka. http://www.modelflying.co.uk/news/article.asp?a=4919
This is electric, but may be convertable.

Photos?

Perhaps when I have finished it. It is a bit of a mess. My covering skills are poor, and it does not help that I have a huge cyano dribble across one wing.

It is rather modified, as It was designed for a big pack of nicads, and I have used a smallish lipo. Thus it was very tail heavy. I have extended the nose to move the motor forward. I am now cobbling together a cowl to hide the worst of my butchery.

However, it flies well.

I am not sure if I was suffering from radio glitches, or if it was super sensitive to turbulence. I will need to fuss with the receiver and antenna to see if I can solve it.

However, I would heartily recommend one. Go on. Build one. They do not take much building.

I have just returned from flying mine, and I managed my two best landings ever with it. Exclamation This is very important to me as for various reasons my confidence was at rock bottom. I built this to help me regain it, and it is working.

Not smallest by a long margin - but Pilot Models of Japan used to do a line of 10 powered planes .. I had their high-wing model many years ago ... There were 3 versions, high, mid and low wing versions.

Even though small, about 32" wingspan - they flew with standard radio gear and 4 ch's.

I eventually mod'd mine by cutting the wing to put sweepback into it, ( it's built-up balsa wing with spruce spars ). Made it look much more interesting than the original straight wing jobbie. To effect the join - I used the foam veneer wing trick of F/G bandage to make sure it was strong enough.
With the OS 10FSR I had in it - it was a pocket rocket and excellent in small field sites.

As a kid - my Father bought me a WenMac P56 Kingcobra control-line job with an 049 WenMac in it ... smallest I ever had. That Kingcobra had a 3rd control line to fire spring-powered rockets of the wing pylons.

Most of the crash is fine - it's the last mm and second that's not !.... Ex Model Display flyer returning to hobby after 25yrs in the wilderness !.....http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Flysky_RC_radio/ if user of FlySky Radio where I hope to collect together helpful data

Still got this little Cox .010 mentioned above, maybe with today's mini/micro gear I should put it into something!
