Hello all,

Well today has been an exciting one, had about 4 parcels arrive from royal mail, then 30 mins later the "big one" from parcel force.

I now have on my desk a 90% assembled mini titan - although, when i first opened the box - i initially thought they had sent the kit version! how many 000's more parts do helis have over planes!

The spartan gyro has arrived, its thee smallest electronic costing £137 i have ever bought.

..a few other bits and bobs have turned up, will post pics a bit later!

Matt

(oh, and i've bought a JP mini twister to have fun with)

I'm not sure about the Thunder Tiger kits but I know with Align "RTF" helis its advisable to check every screw has actually been done with loctite. Lot of hassle but worth it.

Yeah i was thinking that...it says in the manual they should all have thread lock on them - so i want to check everythings ok - but if i tighten/undo stuff i will have to reseal with thread lock?

Im dreading all the "setting" up of it all!

Enjoying the mini twister tho!

yep you will. Bottle of blue loctite (I like the Pacer branded stuff) is your best friend when building a heli. just a drop on the end few threads, quick wipe of the excess and job done.

mini twister looks fun :o) (don't try the cupboard trick with the titan!)

Thanks for the advice Giskard, i will inspect the all the "RTF" parts before i start building it, just to make sure it 100% ok. Looking at the rotor head - i would imagine if 1 screw fell out of it while flying, we would have a crash on our hands.

...and yes the mini twister is great fun. I did have a £10 mini heli off ebay once, was good for 1 flight,, then after that it just wouldn't fly! the mini-twister is a good little flyer.

Haha yeah won't be doing any stunts with the mini titan just yet =)

Whatever came with the kit should be fine, at least it wont lock it like red does.

Rich: I would use the stuff in the kit - but what always worries me with these kits is the quality of the parts/extras they supply. I often replace them with something better. I can't remember which plane i bought, but the hardware bag went in the bin and decent quality stuff ordered.

David: From a quick google search of "Z-42" it seems that is the correct stuff - if Giskard could confirm this i will put an order in.

Thanks all
Matt :)

Plan is to spend Tuesday afternoon to check over what has already been made & make a start on it, then use weds & thurs to build it, and friday to "set-up" the whole thing.
